1. Course description "Semiconductor physics and devices" is an important professional basic course especially for micro-electronics. This course mainly introduces the basic physical properties of semiconductors, explore the physical process, which occurs in the semiconductor thermal equilibrium and non-equilibrium and related applications, the main contents include courses in semiconductor, electronic states in semiconductor impurity and defect levels, carrier distribution, the conductivity of the semiconductor, non-equilibrium the carrier and contact between metal and semiconductor, the operation principles of the basic devices upon which modern electronics is built.
